Welcome to The Moon Lab…
What’s behind the name? The moon is a symbol that represents our emotions, dreams and the unconscious mind (or, as we say in gestalt, things out of awareness). However, what we experience on the surface doesn’t always reflect what’s going on underneath, the vast depths of our potential.
I run a variety of online (and sometimes, in-person) workshops throughout the year, usually themed around dreams, lucid dreaming, mindfulness, journalling or poetry therapy.
In addition to being a gestalt psychotherapist, I’m also a qualified mindfulness teacher and undergoing the final stages of accreditation to become a Certified Poetry Therapist (CPT).
I’m fully insured and a student member operating under the governing body of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) for gestalt psychotherapy. I also adhere to the guidance from the Mindfulness Association (mindfulness) and the International Federation of Biblio Poetry Therapy and Lapidus (poetry therapy).
Unfortunately, I cannot currently offer these workshops to psychotherapy clients I am actively working with, due to professional boundaries and the ethical framework I adhere to.

Poetry Therapy
For those who love to write, or simply for anyone who feels drawn to journaling or creative writing for self-growth, I host writing for wellbeing workshops. Using various forms, including poetry, as a way to tune in and use the page to explore, process and heal your inner world.
Dream Work
Either working on a 1:1 basis or within a workshop setting, learn how to use your dreams for self-growth. I teach ways to use lucid dreaming, and different sleep states, to support and improve your wellbeing. The lucid state is a refined and powerful state of consciousness you can harness while you sleep.
Mindfulness
I offer 1:1, group + corporate mindfulness sessions. Mindfulness is a compelling approach for reducing stress, anxiety, anger, substance abuse and trauma. Research shows that meditation results in significant physical and mental health benefits after as little as eight weeks of daily practice.

A Love Letter to Self
3-5 pm, 15 February 2026 (£30) Online
A radical act of self-love over Valentine’s weekend…
In this two hour Zoom workshop, together we will use poetry and writing prompts to fully understand the concept of self-compassion and the ways in which we sometimes judge ourselves unknowingly. We’ll also write an ode to our unloved or disowned parts.
Exploring the barriers that might sometimes prevent self-compassion and identifying opportunities for change and new ways of being we might consider.
All while learning how to ‘tango’ with that inner critic and enhance how we feel about ourselves through compassion-based meditations, discussions and writing prompts.

Dream Weaving: Lucid Dreaming for Creatives
International Lucid Dreaming Day – 12 April
In Association with the Poetry Pharmacy
Sunday 12 April | 3-5pm | £35
This workshop is perfect for creatives: poets, writers, artists, and anyone else who is interested in learning about how to use lucid dreaming for creative purposes.
What’s Lucid Dreaming?
A lucid dream is a dream in which you know you are dreaming, and you are able to exert some influence over the content of the dream.
Lucid dreaming has been practised for centuries across a range of cultures. It is often described as having transformational qualities, and is a well-documented approach that can support creativity, wellbeing and spiritual practice.
Around 50% of people have experienced at least one lucid dream in their lifetime, and approximately 25% have them regularly (Saunders et al, 2016).
The encouraging news is that lucid dreaming isn’t just something that happens by chance – there are practical techniques you can learn to increase the likelihood of experiencing lucidity.
Why is it Helpful for Creatives?
Lucid dreaming offers direct access to imagery, symbols and narratives that arise beyond the waking and analytical mind. It’s a space where you can bypass the inner critic and access the ‘bulk of the iceberg’, it’s a place in your mind where you can access the ‘gold’.
In this introductory workshop, you’ll learn the basics of lucid dreaming and how it can be used to generate ideas for poems and other creative projects. You’ll explore the subject through a blend of teaching, writing exercises, reflective practices, discussion and poetry, in a supportive and imaginative space.
Please note: this is not a deep dive into lucid dreaming, but an introductory workshop designed specifically for creatives.
Workshop Outcomes
During this 2 hour introductory workshop you will learn:
• To strengthen your relationship with your dreaming world
• Discover the benefits of lucid dreaming, and which feel most relevant to you
• Explore your personal motivation for cultivating lucidity, including intention-setting with the creation of a ‘haiku spell’
• Learn the underlying theory and four core approaches commonly used to prompt lucid dreams
• Create your own lucid dream plan to inspire a future dream for creative purposes
• Take away clear, practical steps to support lucid dreaming
• Seeing as this workshop takes place on International Lucid Dreaming Day (12 April), tune into the collective later that day, and start exploring your own lucid dreaming practice that very evening (if you wish to!).
